Filing An Appeal

If an application for Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) benefits or services is denied, if the response to a request for services is not timely received, or if the CSBG agency's performance is unsatisfactory, the applicant may initiate a written appeal with the agency. The appeal must be reviewed and a decision rendered no later than 15 days after the appeal is received.

If the applicant is not satisfied with the CSBG agency's decision, the applicant may appeal the decision to the California Department of Community Services and Development in writing pursuant to Title 22, California Code of Regulations section 100805.
