The Farmworker Housing Component will be a new offering under LIWP focused on serving farmworker households. Under this LIWP component, CSD is scheduled to allocate a total of $10 million for energy efficiency and solar PV improvements to farmworker housing. The proposed program design provides for two funding awards to two administrators overseeing services across two six-county regions. Region A will include Fresno, Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus counties; and Region B will include Imperial, Kern, Riverside, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura counties.
LIWP is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide program that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment – particularly in disadvantaged communities.
