The California Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) is hosting a series of workshops in Fresno, Los Angeles, and Sacramento, to continue to promote awareness for their Community Solar Pilot Program. As part of the Low-Income Weatherization Program (LIWP), CSD intends to make up to $5 million available to fund community solar systems or networks of systems to benefit multiple low-income households in Californian communities. CSD welcomes stakeholders from a variety of fields, including solar project developers, local governments, community organizations, utility companies, affordable housing developers, investors, and others. By bringing stakeholders together, CSD hopes to encourage partnerships that can lead to innovative and impactful project proposals in advance of the final NOFA release in early August 2018.
